Sjoerd Wagenaar: Scenographer, Production Multi-Media Coordinator.

Sjoerd Wagenaar lives and works in Gasselte, a small village in Drenthe in the north of the Netherlands . He is deeply connected with the landscape, the people, and the concerns of the region, where he is director of The Peer Group, a theater company with a mobile workshop dedicated to the realization of innovative site specific performances. Wagenaar trained as a visual artist and scenographer and has an advanced degree in theater direction from DasArts, ( Amsterdam ). He and his company are gaining renown in Europe for their surprising, ambitious technological performances. Malpede and Wagenaar have worked together intermittently on projects since 1966. Wagenaar is the head of the postgraduate theater department at the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen , Netherlands.
