Assessment Studies

Documentation and Assessment are key elements of RFK in EKY: We want people both inside and outside the project to understand how it developed, the elements of its organizational, artistic, and partnership structures, and, ultimately, what it accomplished. To that end, RFK in EKY has been looking to document its activities in a variety of ways: through the Digital Archive; audio and video documentation of development activities, public forums, and the performance; opening itself up to the press from the grassroots level to the national; and by contracting the noted documentor, Mat Schwarzman.

Mat Schwarzman

Mat Schwarzman researches and develops curriculum, and writes for and evaluates the Building the Code process. He holds a Ph.D in Transformative Learning from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Schwarzman was founder of the East Bay Institute for Urban Arts in Oakland , CA , an arts-based youth development program, and chair of Arts & Social Change Program at New College of CA.
